Vail Real Estate, Sales Are Strong

Sales are strong with regards to Vail real estate. While many people are still hanging on waiting for the other shoe to drop so that they can buy a “bargain”, others are buying Vail real estate now. The reality in the Vail Valley is that those in the business see the bottom as having hit in 2009, prices are not dropping. While there may be some short sale and foreclosure opportunities, Vail Village properties are selling and while prices aren’t expected to spike upwards any time soon they sure are holding their own. Sales at the recently completed Ritz Carlton in Lionshead averaged roughly $2,500 a square foot.

Why are Vail sellers not giving their properties away? Simply because they don’t have to. Vail has long been known as a world class ski resort and as large projects like Solaris and the Four Seasons have ended their construction and have been received with glowing praise, Vail Village is better than ever.

Vail and Beaver Creek are currently the hottest markets when it comes to Eagle County real estate. There has been $48 million of homes worth $4 million or more in value so far in 2010. Vail Village and Beaver Creek have experienced the highest sales volume in Eagle County so far this year. As far as the number of transactions goes, Avon has seen the most sales with 94 closed real estate transactions so far in 2010.
