Spring is a Fantastic Time to Dine in the Vail Valley

Traditionally Spring in the Vail Valley is referred to as Mud Season.  The Ski Mountains are closed for skiing, the snow is melting and Vail Village and Beaver Creek Village are quiet.  Spring in the Vail Valley is also bargain time and dining is no exception.  Many restaurants actually close their doors for a month after the mountain closes but the majority of the restaurants that remain open offer fantastic specials: 2 for 1, 50% off, and tasting menus at great prices.  There couldn’t be a better time to dine in the Vail Valley.  Vail Restaurants want to show appreciation to their locals, knowing that if they get them in to dine they are also advertising.  Word of mouth goes a long way in a resort community and if locals enjoy a restaurant they will spread the word.  You don’t have to be a local however to take advantage of good gastronomy.  If good food and wine is your thing, it’s a great time to be in Vail Colorado.
